Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is part of the AshWeb Terms of Service you accept when you sign up. It sets the rules for anyone who builds or operates an app on the AshWeb platform, and it cannot be overridden by the terms you write for your own app. AshWeb Inc. may update this AUP; continued use after the effective date is acceptance.

1. You operate your app; AshWeb provides the platform

You are the operator, seller, and data controller of the app you build. Any contract of sale between your app and its end users is directly between you and them — AshWeb is not a party to it. AshWeb provides the infrastructure, AI generation, payment routing, and marketplace as a service provider (processor), and is an intermediary, not the merchant, of your end-user transactions. You are solely responsible for your app's goods and services, pricing, refunds, advertising, tax, and compliance with all applicable laws.

2. Your app's legal documents

You may customize your app's own Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Refund Policy. You must keep them lawful, accurate, and not misleading, and they must not contradict these Platform Terms, this AUP, or applicable consumer-protection and data-protection law. Where your documents conflict with the Platform Terms or this AUP, the Platform Terms and this AUP prevail. Your documents bind you and your users; they do not shift your obligations onto AshWeb.

3. Prohibited uses

You may not use the platform, or allow your app to be used, to:

  • break any law, or facilitate illegal activity;
  • infringe anyone's intellectual property, or imitate a real person's name, likeness, or voice without their permission;
  • publish deceptive, unfair, or unlawful terms, pricing, refund, or privacy practices to your users;
  • commit fraud, deceive users, or misrepresent who you are or what your app does;
  • create or distribute sexual content involving minors, non-consensual content, or content that is illegal or that violates platform content rules;
  • distribute malware, spam, or abusive automation, or attempt to breach platform security;
  • evade platform fees, the marketplace revenue share, or usage metering; or
  • misuse another creator's published character outside the marketplace terms.

4. Enforcement — suspension and removal

A violation of this AUP or of applicable law is a material breach of the Terms of Service. AshWeb may, depending on severity and with or without prior notice, suspend or remove your app in whole or in part, remove specific content or characters, and withhold or reverse related payouts. Suspension for a violation is set by AshWeb and cannot be lifted by you; it is lifted only when the violation is resolved to AshWeb's satisfaction.

5. Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AshWeb Inc. and its affiliates from and against any claim, demand, loss, or damage — including reasonable legal fees — arising out of your app, your content, your legal documents, your end-user transactions, or your breach of these terms.
